The Hungry Drunx: “Between Sorrow & Goodbye”

Between Sorrow & Goodbye
c. ’15 The Hungry Drunx

Old wooden bridge over brown water
Can’t see a thing if you look down
I flip a dime, should I try and call her
She ain’t mine and the dime falls down

Sparrow on the wing soars at the sun
Comes a hawk carrying a slaughtered robin
Grabs the sparrow and drops the red one
And the robin falls down

I wanna get high
But I’m stuck in
The place between sorrow and goodbye

Burnin’ oil and a hole in the floorboards
See the road if I care to look down
I flip my phone should I try and call her
She ain’t mine and the phone falls down

I wanna get high
But I’m stuck in
The place between sorrow and goodbye
